How to Liquid Stake TIA
Note: For transferring funds from Ethereum, follow our guide to obtain stTIA here: https://support.stride.zone/library/how-to-get-sttia-from-ethereum
- To begin liquid staking your TIA, navigate to the Stride website at https://www.stride.zone/ and select the “Stake now” button located in the top right corner, which directs you to the app.
- Once on the Stride app page, you'll be prompted in the top right corner to connect your wallet. This guide will demonstrate using the Keplr Wallet, one of the compatible wallets for this process.
Before you can liquid stake TIA, ensure your wallet has a positive TIA balance.
- After wallet connection, your TIA balance will be displayed below the “Amount to stake” section. Enter the TIA amount you want to liquid stake. In this example, we've opted to stake half of the available TIA balance. Below this, you'll see the calculated amount of stTIA you'll receive for this transaction.
- Click “Liquid stake” and proceed through the transaction steps, starting with “Start staking.” Follow your wallet's instructions to approve the transaction.
- Please be patient during the transaction process. Due to the popularity of this integration, you may experience delays caused by network congestion. It’s important not to close any relevant windows while your transaction is being processed.
- Upon successful transaction completion, you'll be prompted to select “Exit” to view your liquid staked balance and to start exploring the airdrop page.
How to Check Rewards
Eligible stTIA holdings are captured via daily snapshots. These snapshots are then uploaded periodically to the Stride app homepage. If you're participating in the airdrop, you can easily check your STRD allocation.
To stay informed, follow these steps:
- Visit the Stride App: Head over to the Stride platform by accessing https://app.stride.zone.
- Access the Airdrop Interface: On the left side of the screen, you'll see the stTIA Airdrop button. Clicking on this will take you to the section dedicated to all information regarding your airdrop allocation.
- Connect Your Wallet: To view your specific allocation details, you must connect your wallet to the Stride app. Click the button on the middle of the screen that states connect wallet and follow the provided instructions to link your wallet securely. This enables you to see your personalized airdrop details accurately.
FAQ
- Where do I need to hold my stTIA to be eligible?
- stTIA currently needs to be held on Stride, Neutron, or Osmosis blockchain. stTIA can also be held in Osmosis pool #1428 or in the Astroport stTIA/TIA pool. If you provide liquidity in Osmosis or Neutron, both the stTIA and TIA in the pool are counted. If additional locations are whitelisted, they will be added to the official whitelist on the Stride blog here.
- How often and at what times are snapshots taken?
- Snapshots for the stTIA airdrop are taken daily at random times to maintain fairness and unpredictability in the distribution process. This approach ensures that the allocation of STRD tokens is based on a varied snapshot of stTIA holdings, preventing any gaming of the system.
- How often do rewards update on the website?
- Airdrop allocations are updated on the Stride Zone web app interface periodically following the daily snapshots of stTIA holdings. However, it's important to note that these updates do not happen in real-time immediately after each snapshot. The frequency of updates and the exact timing can vary. The stTIA Airdrop dashboard will provide the date of the latest uploaded snapshot.
- Will stTIA holders be eligible for airdrops?
- Eligibility for airdrops for stTIA holders is determined on a case-by-case basis. The Stride team is committed to ensuring that holders of stTokens, including stTIA, are eligible for the same airdrops as native stakers. To achieve this, the team proactively engages with entities distributing airdrops, offering assistance in taking snapshots and making snapshot information readily available for those who require it.
