Stride has integrated with ShadeSwap, a Shade Protocol DEX with a particular focus on privacy. This platform offers users a decentralized and efficient method for swapping stablecoins. Unlike more conventional platforms, ShadeSwap uses advanced tech to address issues like sudden price fluctuations and potential losses during swaps. This approach brings stability and reliability to decentralized finance, enabling users to trade stablecoins with confidence. ShadeSwap represents a new era in decentralized finance, prioritizing both security and efficiency - aligned to the Stride project values.
Stride's stTokens let users access liquidity from their staked assets, enabling Defi activity while maintaining flexibility. This increased liquidity integrates seamlessly into ShadeSwap's stablecoin trading, providing users with an extra option for employing their assets in Defi.
Specifically, ShadeSwap allows you to swap your assets and provide liquidity to their pools.
Use this guide to learn how to provide liquidity for stATOM and ATOM on ShadeSwap.
Pre-requisites:
- a positive token balance of stATOM, ATOM and SCRT (for commission fees) in a compatible wallet
Bridging Funds through Shade
- Go to Shade App and connect your wallet in the left corner or in the center of the page.
- After connecting the wallet, you need to send your funds to the Secret network through the Bridge. Select the COSMOS network, the ATOM token and set the required amount. Then click “Bridge.”
- Next, you will need to pay a commission or transaction fee - once in the Cosmos network, the second in the Secret network. You will be able to follow the instructions in the pop-up window to complete the transactions in your wallet.
- Complete the same process to transfer stATOM from Stride to the Secret chain. Select the amount of stATOM you wish to send, and ensure the wallet addresses are accurate. Select “Bridge.”
- Complete the transaction in your wallet.
Using Funds on ShadeSwap
- After our funds have been successfully transferred to the Secret network, go to the SWAP tab and select the Pools section. In the field for filtering, type “stATOM” or whichever stToken you wish to utilize to narrow the number of pools.
- Select the pool ATOM / stATOM. We have 3 options for interacting with the pool:
- both assets - ATOM + stATOM
- Single asset - ATOM (Single-sided liquidity provision may result in a loss or gain of funds due to price impact.)
- stATOM (Single-sided liquidity provision may result in a loss or gain of funds due to price impact.)
In this example, we add both ATOM and stATOM liquidity to the pool.
- Select the category we need and click View Balance to activate our balance
4. Confirm the transaction and pay fees in your wallet.
- After the balance appears, you can set the default liquidity or apply a custom option. Сustom options have advantages and disadvantages. Note that providing a custom LP ratio will impact the pool price and may result in loss or gain depending on the amount provided and the current ratio of the pool. Risk of impermanence loss still exists for this function.
- Next, click Provide. Choose suitable conditions and pay the fee. Complete the transaction in your wallet and wait for the “Transaction successful” message.
Congratulations - your liquidity has been added to ShadeSwap! To see the details of your liquidity - click on View Balance and pay the fees.
