Providing Liquidity on Astroport
Stride's integration with Astroport, a decentralized exchange on the Terra blockchain, has made a splash! Stride's stLUNA has the deepest liquidity of all LUNA LSTs on Astroport. In a historic first, Stride DAO has committed to incentivizing this pool indefinitely 25,000 xASTRO per day - the staked version of ASTRO (Astroport's native token).
This tutorial will show you how to acquire stLUNA and provide liquidity to the LUNA/stLUNA pool on Astroport.
Acquiring stLUNA (Two Methods)
Method 1: Liquid stake LUNA on Stride to get stLUNA.
You will need to begin with LUNA token(s) in your wallet. We will be using Keplr in our examples. If needed, see our detailed Liquid Staking tutorial.
- Go to the Stride app → http://app.stride.zone/
- Click ‘Connect Wallet’ and choose your wallet.
- Select the token drop-down menu at the top, which initially shows ATOM, and select LUNA.
- Enter the desired amount and press the “Liquid Stake” button.
Note: When you intend to LP and are staking your tokens, we recommend ensuring you have a fair amount of the original token left in your wallet since you will need both tokens in order to add liquidity to the pool.
5. Select “Start Staking” and approve the transaction.
Method 2. Swap LUNA for stLUNA on Astroport.
You will need to begin with LUNA token(s) in your wallet.
- Go to the Astroport app → https://app.astroport.fi/swap and connect your wallet.
- Select “Swap” at the top left side of the page. The first box should say “LUNA” and you can search in the box below for “stLUNA.” Select the desired quantity and press “Swap.”
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet. You should now have some amount of stLUNA in your wallet (and some LUNA that you will need to enter the liquidity pool!).
Adding Liquidity to the LUNA/stLUNA Pool
- On the left hand side of the Astroport frontend, select the “Pools” tab. You should see a list of liquidity pools hosted on the DEX. Select “Add Liquidity” on the LUNA-stLUNA pool.
- Enter the desired quantity of each token, LUNA and stLUNA. Then select “Add Liquidity” and confirm the transaction.
3. Your position will appear in the “Pools” tab. LUNA-stLUNA-LP liquidity token will be automatically staked.
4. By clicking on the button with the image of the graph, you can view additional information on the pool.
5. Click the drop down menu. You can perform additional actions with the pool, as listed here:
